Children's serves as the regional referral center for pediatric emergency, trauma, and burn cases.

Children's Burn Team provides both inpatient and outpatient care for the treatment of children that have been burned either by scalding or contact with a heat source. The team provides a comprehensive multidisciplinary approach to burn treatment, recovery and prevention. Burn team members include; attending pediatric surgeons, pediatric surgery fellows, a pediatric nurse practitioner, nurses, burn technicians, an occupational therapist, a physical therapist, and surgery residents.
